VW Golf R-Line Upgrade Pure White LED DRL

Golf R-line is such a car with nice driving experience, spacious inside the car, little problem happens on driving unless you put some bad petrol in the car. But, there is one thing everyone give a bad comment, that is the DRL. There is a joke from the owner, Golf R-line driver will always be asked by they keep opening the side marker light.

So while I pick up my car from 4S store, I upgrade the LED daytime running light immediately. The led light will be much bright with pure white lighting, which look better than the original yellow light, much novel.

It is not that difficult to swap the stock halogen lights out. As you can see from the pictures, open the lip, and you can find there is a cover behind the DRL position, take the plastic cover out, the DRL light bulb is there. After replace the stock one by led daytime running light, you just need to put it back and restore the cover. Then it will work. See my led DRL, it looks much better, right?

BMW 7 Series OEM FIT SPORTY LED Door Projector Light

I believe many of you won’t feel strange to led door projector light, normally we will install the led logo projector light for decoration. While we open the door, the door light will open automatically and looks cool. This is the old led door light.

2012 Range Rover Evoque Installed Switchback LED DRL

Switchback DRL/Turn Signal double color led lights seems being so hot in American market. I saw many cars modified with this kind of lightings on the street while I went to American for SEMA show last year. The reason why people like this switchback led light is because you can have both daytime running light and turn signal lights in the same assembly. While you are driving, the DRL will show white color as usual, while you turn on the turn signal light, the DRL will be amber color and shine as same as the turn signal light so you can simply switch back from daytime running light and turn signal light at the flick of a switch.

Volkswagen Phaeton Install LED Dome Light and Door Light

Volkswagen Phaeton is a very luxury car in VW family, but the outlook is not very special, or we can say it is very normal so that many people take it for new Passat. In China, Many public servant drive a Phaeton but change the logo on the rear into Passat to hide their wealth and corruption. But it looks strange because the Passat is smaller much on size.

For Volkswagen cars modification, we usually meet CANbus problem. Like LED headlight, it’s very popular now on the market. But we are hard to find a 100% fit LED headlight conversion to VW cars. In the majority of cases, we will meet computer error(CANBus problem), or the bulbs can’t fit to the headlamp because lack of a adaptors. And for the other exterior lights, we may need to connect the resistor to the bulbs while we install it. Because VW cars have a serious electronic inspect system to every single electronic component on his car. If the working power don’t reach their demand, the computer will alarm and tell you that your component is broken. Resistor can help to improve the working power, cheat to the CANbus system. But it is being complicated to connect resistor, and sometimes the led bulbs will still burn because of bad quality and high working temperature. So we suggest you to use PHILIPS and Osram halogen bulbs to replace your stock one. It won’t have any CANBus problem, simple installation, nice quality. Although it will be being dimmed after 2 or 3 years of use, you can modify again as it is not that complicated.

But for interior light, led lights is better than halogen bulbs. VW cars don’t have a very high working power standard to interior light, which offer the market to led bulbs. Normally CANbus led bulbs can work well on the interior light without computer error problem . That while we choose led lights, it can be much bright, good color temperature, saving power and longer life span. And if your family like reading in the car. LED lights could protect your eyes. So here I modify all my interior light into LEDs. You can see it looks upgraded and better. I love this pure white color, just like our desk lamp, looks comfortable.

2015 Volkswagen Gran Lavida Trunk Light Upgraded

2015 1.6T LED Trunk Light has yellor color halogen trunk light, that is not bright at night. I think there are many people with same idea with me to replace this bulb for convenient finding thing on trunk at night. LED bulb will be good choice for us with many good features, saving power, brighter, longer life span, and most important, led lighting won’t be hot like halogen yellow bulb.

Installation is simple. As I show below, we should find a screwdriver to swap the lamp out, remember to take it out on the right side. Get the bulb out and replace with new LED bulb. Don’t need to stop the engine as the voltage is 12V only. Replace the bulb with power, we could know if the led bulbs work on this wedge. If you close the driving power, after intallation, if the led bulbs meet CANBus problem and don’t work, we should do that work again.

Here you must will ask what led bulbs is better. 2015 Gran Lavida trunk light is the T10 bulb, we should find the similar size T10 bulb with CANBus function, here I recommend our 5730 SMD bulb for your reference. Small size with 160mA current, CANbus, 200 working lumen. If you prefer to super bright led bulb, our ENIG 14K gold T10 4LEDS Super CANbus bulb will be your best choice. It can reach 280 lumen and 250mA on stable working. Samsung chips and ENIG tech make it be different to other CANBus led lights.

New LED Rear Light Modified to New Volkswagen Beetle

It is not double that Volkswagen Beetle is a reliable car with amazing appearance design and wonderful performance. But for our car modded lover, good is not enough. We love special. Modded car is a such interesting thing that you can’t help wanting to do DIY again and again. Once you do it first time, we will keep wondering how to make it better. It is the fun to never satisfy. Today I will share with you my new turning method on Volkswagen beetle, the rear light.

You will say that the stock rear light is beautiful. Yeah, it is beautiful. But in my opinion, it is not bright enough. Just like a beautiful eye is lack of that kind of spirit and charming. So today I wanna give her a pair of led bright eyes.

Disassembly process is very simple. See the original diagram to complete the repair.

1. Open plush guard, loosen the plastic screws by hand, remove the plug (first lift the red bezel, hold down the clip to be removed), swap out the rear light.
2. Removing the original car chassis bezel taillights and tailgate rainwater diversion, Reassembling on the new LED taillights
3. Fllow the step A and install the led rear light back.

Finish, let’s see the final effect of this new led rear light.
